Laser Photonics Corporation has launched a new handheld fibre laser marking system as part of its MarkStar military-focused product line.

The DefenseTech LPC-MS creates durable, long-lasting marks on various materials and equipment, including missiles, weapons, vehicles, aircraft parts and more, Laser Photonics says.

The Class IV laser features an adaptable AC/DC power system and is housed in a military-grade case which the firm says makes it suitable for harsh conditions.

Wayne Tupuola, CEO of Laser Photonics, said: “Our DefenseTech LPC-MS simplifies parts tracking and supply chain management in the military and defence industry by enabling operators to effectively mark components with scannable 2D barcodes, UID codes and more.”

He added: "Our DefenseTech LPC-MS simplifies parts tracking and supply chain management in the military and defence industry by enabling operators to effectively mark components with scannable 2D barcodes, UID codes and more."
