ICALEO 2020

The International Congress on Applications of Lasers & Electro-Optics ICALEO, brings together the leaders and experts in the field of laser material interaction, providing the world’s premier platform for sharing new ideas and discovering solutions. Returning for its 39th iteration – bringing with it deeper industry foci, more expansive technical sessions and networking opportunities each day.

Laser industry professionals from academic and industrial settings will gather to discuss the latest in laser additive manufacturing (LAM), laser macroprocessing, laser microprocessing, and laser nanomanufacturing. The new Frontiers in Laser Applications track will cover additional topics like regional laser markets, industry specific applications, and more. Topics range from the interaction between a laser beam and a material to how a process can be integrated and optimized for an application.

ICALEO goes virtual

Due to the ongoing uncertainty in the wake of the COVID-19 global pandemic and the potential future impact on travel, LIA has decided to transition ICALEO 2020 to a fully virtual conference experience in October for the first time in our conference’s 38-year history. The health and safety of our members, speakers, attendees, and staff is of paramount importance and we feel this is the safest path forward.

While the overall virtual conference format is currently under development, the end result will likely be a revised, shortened format. Our ICALEO Program Committee is dedicated to evaluating all submissions and cultivating the highest quality and most relevant content for this new model. In light of this, we are asking for your continued patience as these developments evolve.
