Lasers in Action 3

Welcome to the third in our series of 'Lasers in Action' webinars.

Laser Systems Europe and LASYS joined forces to bring you this series of events early in June, with a view to bringing the Laser-using community closer together at a time when distancing has been crucial.

Once again, this webinar will feature topics concentrating on the application of lasers within industry. As with the other events, questions are welcome and the webinars will be available to view on-demand to all those who have signed up.

The first two webinars certainly sparked some interesting conversation and we hope those of you who were able to join us found them useful. Our industries may not have caused the current crisis, but they will certainly play a crucial role in leading us all into a recovery - the innovation and discussion during these events has been fantastic.

Our webinars are free to attend - so look out for our emails with topics and details of the presentations for future events.

Please enjoy and we look forward to seeing you all at LASYS in June 2022

Speakers and Presentations include:

Laser welding: High-speed laser beam measurement optimizes development process

During the development of a new laser process, documenting the process conditions is often time consuming but always essential.  This presentation shows how non-contact measurement technology for high-power laser beams was used to speed-up and improve the development of a multi-focal laser welding process in the automotive industry.

Processing smallest structures in electronics and probe card manufacturing

Relentless miniaturization in both consumer electronics and mechanical engineering has brought plenty changes to the fabrication of such electronic components as PCBs, control elements, and sensors. This development also influences demands placed on laser processing machines used in micromachining. Difficult-to-handle materials such as polymers and ceramics present a special challenge. Today’s processing limits can be newly defined by employing a precession bore system with a green laser.
