Synova’s LCS 50 multi-axis laser machining system is now available with powerful CAM software for three- or five-axis machining of complex forms and features. The LCS 50, which will be displayed at the trade fair, uses Synova’s water jet guided Laser MicroJet technology, which combines the advantages of water jet and laser cutting in a single operation. This cold and clean laser technology enables extremely hard materials such as ceramics and artificial diamonds to be machined with minimal thermal damage, no burrs and no recast deposits.

With a working envelope of 50 x 50 x 50mm, the LCS 50 provides a cost-effective platform, suitable for rapid prototyping as well as batch production. Its cylindrical laser beam ensures parallel cuts on precision parts such as tool inserts, watch gears and fuel injection nozzles. This is the ideal laser process for machining parts without affecting their material structure.
