G6 system

Laser Components' partner Haas Technologies now offers various laser process heads for fibre lasers. The G6 series laser process heads were developed for fibre lasers with a high output power between 4kW and 5kW and are typically used for high-speed cutting applications. User-friendliness plays a central role in the G6 series, and compartments make it easy to change the optics and adjust the focal distance. They also facilitate the exchange of the protective windows - standard 1.1-inch optics are used for this purpose.

RTC 4 Ethernet control boards

Scanlab has added an Ethernet-based product to its lineup of RTC control boards. The new board allows laser-marking-system producers in particular to profit from lower manufacturing costs for individual workstations, while also providing users with straightforward industrial connectivity.
Scanlab’s industry-suited RTC 4 Ethernet extends the functionality of RTC 4 PCI control boards through real-world advantages. Unlike the USB-based RTC 4 ScanAlone board, driver installation isn't needed anymore and direct network connectivity eliminates cable-length restrictions.

DMC

Direct Machining Control has released new software for laser machines, DMC. DMC provides users with an easy and intuitive way to design laser fabrication recipes and control the system. Recipes can be based on 2D or 3D CAD files or created using built-in drawing and logical tools. After the recipe is designed, it is executed automatically without any use of machine code, making the whole process simple, graphical and based on ‘what you see is what you get’ principles.

Laser galvanometer interface

Delta Tau has released a laser galvanometer interface for its Power PMAC motion controllers. The device simplifies and improves controls for laser scanning applications, including laser marking, PCB processing, micromachining and medical device manufacturing.
The interface is based on the laser industry’s XY2-100 communication standard. It allows a single motion controller running a unified program to take over every aspect of a laser scanning process.

German Specialist Blackbird Robotersysteme Establishes Shanghai Site

SCANLAB AG's subsidiary Blackbird Robotersysteme GmbH, the world leader for innovative remote laser welding solutions, announces the establishment of a sales and service center in Shanghai, China. The company's growth strategy and closer proximity to existing customers and installations were key motivators in creating a Chinese subsidiary. On March 1, 2015, Derek Wang will begin organizing the site as Vice President Sales and Technical Support Asia, Blackbird Robotics Asia.
