MPS product family

Rofin has expanded its MPS product family of multi-purpose workstations.

The MPS Compact has a small footprint of 800 mm wide. It can accommodate various fibre-coupled Rofin laser sources and comes with a scanner head and a motorised z-axis.  An x- and y-axis can be added optionally, typically for fixed optic applications. Laser sources and supply units are accommodated in an industry-standard 19 inch rack.

The Nova 1000

Spectrum Technologies has announced its latest new product, the Nova 1000. The system is a high speed, in-line UV laser marking unit designed specifically for wire and cable manufacturers for printing their proprietary identification codes onto wire and cable insulations during manufacture of their products.

The PicoEmerald S

The PicoEmerald S from APE – available from Photonics Solutions – combines a picosecond OPO and its pump laser in a single housing. The new pump source offers shorter pulses of 2 picoseconds with 10cm - 1 spectral width compared to the original PicoEmerald version offering 6 picoseconds. The selection of features make the PicoEmerald S well suited to CARS microscopy and SRS Raman microscopy.

S Laser

Stiefelmayer Lasertechnik has launched its S Laser that combines the precision of micro laser technology with the speed of macro laser technology.

In the laser system, all steel and aluminium was replaced by carbon in all moving parts, and granite axles were introduced to guarantee stability and precision where high speeds are achieved with linear direct drives. Furthermore, highly reflective non-ferrous metals can be processed by using a fibre laser.

TruLaser Station 5005

Trumpf has released its five-axis TruLaser Station 5005, a machine for welding mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastics. It is suitable for applications in medical and electrical sectors and throughout the precision engineering industry in general.

The machine has a small footprint of 800 x 900mm2, an upward-sliding door, and integrated dust collector. Depending on the application, it can be specified with the Trumpf disk, fibre, pulsed and diode laser with an output of up to 1kW.

VXmodel, Go!Scan 50 and 20, and HandyScan 700 and 300

Creaform has launched its new VXmodel software, released two new versions of its Go!Scan white light 3D scanner, and updated its HandyScan 3D laser scanner.

The VXmodel software is fully integrated with VXelements, Creaform’s 3D software platform. This eliminates the need for design professionals to open, learn and use third-party software for most applications. With VXmodel acting as an integrated bridge, users have all the tools they need to prepare their 3D-Scan files for CAD or 3D-print solutions in one intuitive application.

HMI on StarCut Tube

Rofin has introduced a newly designed next-generation human machine interface on its four-axis laser cutting system StarCut Tube.

The new HMI integrates all user interface components which are required during normal operation on a single screen. All information about system status and production progress is clearly arranged. User input and parameter modification is limited to certain designated fields.

IPG Photonics

IPG Photonics has introduced the IX-200-F, a fibre laser micromachining system for general purpose, R&D and batch-scale production applications.
