ULT has introduced the LAS 160, the latest addition to the new extraction and filtration device generation for laser fume and dust. The system, developed to remove dry incombustible dusts, has been transferred to the new ULT design line and provides a simplified filter handling.
The new filter combination used in the LAS 160 significantly increases filtration efficiency, leading to noticeable cost savings in the medium term. Another true user value is the low-noise system operation.
For extraction efficiency increase, the new device can be equipped with suitable capturing elements, such as hoods or extraction arms. Possible utilisation of extraction arms would be those of the System 50, System 75 or tube assemblies (50, 75, 50/50) from the vendor Alsident.
Alternatively, the LAS 160 can be connected to external systems for automated operation via a D-Sub interface.
The ULT’s extraction and filtration systems are used to remove airborne substances occurring during material processing and marking by means of laser technology. The units support modern methods such as ultra-short pulse laser processing, removing the smallest particles and emissions from a multitude of machined materials, e.g. metal, plastic or wood.
