LS Laser Systems appoints new managing director

LS Laser Systems, a German laser equipment manufacturer for laser trimming systems, and a member of the Photonics Systems Group, has announced the appointment of Reinhard Ferstl as managing director of the company.

Reinhard brings in more than 25 years’ professional experience in the high-tech equipment industry, establishing worldwide sales and after service organisations for new industries and emerging markets.

‘We are very happy to get Reinhard on board to drive LS Laser Systems to future growth,’ said Markus Nicht, CEO of the Photonics Systems Group. ‘Reinhard’s very good knowledge of laser technologies and setting up new organisations is a valuable asset that will help us to expand our business in laser trimming worldwide.’


Reinhard comes to the LS Laser Systems from his previous role as director of sales and marketing of Asia/EMEA at Corning Laser Technologies, where he was responsible for all sales and marketing activities in glass and electronics.

‘We are really looking forward to significantly growing the business at LS Laser Systems in the electronic and semiconductor market worldwide,’ Reinhard commented.

Reinhard has a background in electrical engineering and has worked in various executive managerial positions throughout his career.
