Press Releases

The chairman of 3D-Micromac AG has appointed Dr Carsten Swiatkowski as Chief Technology Officer

Laser Components' partner Haas Technologies now offers various laser process heads for fibre lasers. The G6 series laser process heads were developed for fibre lasers with a high output power between 4kW and 5kW and are typically used for high-speed cutting applications. User-friendliness plays a central role in the G6 series, and compartments make it easy to change the optics and adjust the focal distance. They also facilitate the exchange of the protective windows - standard 1.1-inch optics are used for this purpose.

A new generation of carbon monoxide (CO) lasers from Coherent offer enhanced processing characteristics for materials processing applications ranging from glass cutting and via drilling, to fractional skin resurfacing. This new class of high power CO lasers have similar lifetime, reliability and maintenance characteristics as the company’s slab discharge CO2 lasers.

Trumpf has launched two products in the laser marking market, the TruMark 3330 and the new workstation TruMark Station 3000.

The company's TruMark Series 3000 has been expanded with the release of the new TruMark 3330 ultraviolet laser. In addition to inscribing glass, ceramics and organic materials, the primary use for the diode-pumped solid-state laser is marking plastics. It operates at a wavelength of 355nm and has a beam quality of M² < 1.5.

Spectra-Physics introduces VGEN-G-HE, a new line of high energy green fibre lasers

Ophir Photonics Group, global leader in precision laser measurement equipment and a Newport Corporation company, has released a new version of BeamWatch, a non-contact beam monitoring system for high power lasers

Tec Systems has developed a flatbed laser cutting machine which offers an ideal solution for laser cutting of composites such as carbon fibre reinforced plastics, PEEK and other similar materials

Newly developed TOP Cleave optics allows the high-performance TruMicro 5080 ultra-short pulse laser to cut glass one millimetre thick

Laser Physics has introduced a new range of collapsible laser safety barriers from Kentek Corporation to complement the EverGuard and ServiceRight barriers it currently offers. With just five major parts, including pre-assembled laser blocking panels, the 5M Flex-Guard laser barriers are ready for use in less than five minutes. The barriers can be used stand-alone or linked together, are clean room friendly and have options for both high and low power lasers.

Rofin has introduced a new polymer welding solution based on the company’s MPS, a production proven, multi-purpose laser workstation. The new solution houses a Dilas Compact Evolution laser, operating with 980nm or 880nm wavelength and a CW power of 150-500W. A pyrometric process control allows for a constant welding temperature and therefore optimised results.
