Press Releases

Lasers are used in different ways for processing medical devices. Laser marking machines with integrated vision systems emerged as an effective means of identifying medical components, e.g. for marking UDI compliant codes.

Innovative laser technology has become the preferred solution for marking medical devices as it enables medical device manufacturers to overcome marking challenges.

A new generation of pulse selectors makes Jenoptik modulators easier to control and increases their efficiency.

ULT presents an ideally designed filter concept implemented in its extraction and filtration system for laser processes, LAS 260. Due to significantly increased filter life times, users are able to save costs on long-term basis in terms of filter exchange and energy management. Compared with the current state of the art, ULT succeeded in halving filter costs. Consequently, the company introduces an extremely attractive particle filter technology.

Events become more and more spectacular, and thus the demand for durable laser systems increases. HB-Laser launched a new IP68 waterproof laser line. These new LightCube 851 show laser light projectors are submergeable up to 3m depth. Of course they are fully graphics capable and equipped with the latest diode laser technology with a pure diode setup. The Apollo ScannerMax scanners (with Pangolin ScannerMax scanners and Apollo driver) run at ca. 45kpps @ 8° and make the LightCube 851 perfect for professional laser show applications.

Laser Castle – Laser Safety Cabins

LASER COMPONENTS has reduced the dead time of the COUNT photon counters from 55ns to 42ns, resulting in a maximum count rate of more than 23MHz.

In additional, the tolerance range of the supply voltage has increased, allowing the COUNT module to react less sensitively to voltage peaks and small deviations in the supply voltage.  The detectors are operated at 12V.

Buckingham-based Stratford Tools, a specialist in the provision of subcontract precision sheet metalwork, has acquired the UK’s first TruMatic 6000 punch/laser combination machine from TRUMPF. The investment by this progressive manufacturing business has led to reduced lead-times and enhanced quality.

Z-Laser now provides more powerful versions of its ZM18 – the ZM18S3, ZM18H3, and ZM18DM53. New driver electronics offer significantly improved power stability over the whole temperature range.

The future ZM18H3 series provides a new standard: blue and green emitting laser diodes come now with an Automatic Power Control (APC). A temperature-related performance increase or decrease, as well as degradation over the lifetime can reliably be excluded.

Rofin has unveiled the VisionPerfoControl, a device for real-time monitoring of perforation quality.

Until now it has been difficult to monitor and ensure that micro holes of consistent quality and diameter have been laser perforated. Typically these holes have diameters less than 120 microns while the packaging film moves with some 100-400 m/min.

Laserworld has announced the release of the new RTI PIKO RGB 11 Pure Diode as laser light system for professional applications.

The PIKO RGB 11 PD has a guaranteed output power of 10W RGB after aperture and is equipped with diode laser sources. This ensures a great, linear colour fading behaviour and makes the unit perfect for professional projections as well as for smooth beam shows. The compact PIKO-housing makes the PIKO RGB 11 PD great for touring applications, rentals as well as for fixed installations.
