Laser safety refers to the set of precautions and measures taken to ensure that the use of lasers does not cause harm to people or property. Laser radiation can be hazardous to the eyes and skin, and can also pose a fire risk or release hazardous particles into the air. Equipment such as barriers, windows, interlocks, and fume extraction & filtration systems are often used to ensure laser safety.
