Additive manufacturing is transforming from being a tool that initially enabled users to manufacture parts they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to produce, to becoming a cost-effective, rapid and most importantly repeatable industrial production process increasingly suited to high-volume manufacturing.

But is it yet fully established as a series production tool? If not, how far does it have to go?

Laser Systems Europe will be speaking with two additive manufacturing experts to establish: 

  • To what extent additive manufacturing has penetrated the automotive and aerospace industries as a series production tool
  • How additive manufacturing systems and their laser technologies are evolving to address the increased volumes and standards of series production
  • The challenges that still need to be addressed to ensure additive manufacturing will be further adopted as a widespread series production tool
