Telecommunications company Telit Cinterion has released an artificial intelligence (AI) solution to support quality control, the DeviceWISE AI Visual Inspection.

The solution is designed for factory floor use cases in the automotive, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare and energy industries, among others.

DeviceWISE, Telit says, provides granular, actionable insights for demanding production environments such as just-in-time manufacturing and Industry 4.0.

The solution collects visual inspection data from factory floor devices and then feeds it into analytics platforms. These insights enable manufacturers to identify and address emerging quality control problems involving employee workstations, industrial robots, CNC machines and more, the firm says. It adds that the solution can spot issues like missing bolts, faulty badges, and misalignments.

Other features include NVIDIA's Metropolis stack including Jetson, DeepStream, and TensorRT to enhance manufacturing, offering data handling, machine integration, edge processing, and visualisation.

DeviceWISE, an IIOT platform, also integrates with factory gear like cameras, PLCs, and syncs with AWS, Azure, and more.

DeviceWISE AI Visual Inspection is currently in pre-release with release expected in Q3 2023.
