Trumpf UK predict record sales for second year running

Tim Leam - Director at Lasershape and Scott Simpson - Managing Director at TRUMPF UK

Trumpf UK has said it is on course for another record sales year at the company’s open house event held in Luton, UK. Trumpf also introduced its TruServices centre – which aims to support users throughout the life cycle of their machines – at the event, and gave the world’s first public showing of the TruLaser 3030 fibre laser with Brightline fibre technology.

Trumpf’s Brightline fibre technology was said to have made a significant contribution to sales performance during 2014/2015. Last year produced Trumpf’s highest ever turnover, but with three months left of this financial year the company is set to break its records once again by close to five per cent, closing at £47 million.

The TruLaser 3030, which was labelled as the star attraction of the event, allows the user to cut both thick and thin materials on a solid-state laser machine with equal quality and cost-efficiency, giving manufacturers far greater flexibility than ever before. Also new to the UK was the TruMark 5010, available as a mobile laser marker or for easy integration into the production line.

Around 250 people, predominantly from OEM and subcontracting sectors, attended the event, and Trumpf has said it received orders for machines from a variety of technology groups. Trumpf singled out Lasershape for placing the highest value order during the open house by adding a Trulaser 5030 fibre to its ranks, increasing the number of 2D flat laser cutting machines to four.
