Photonics Systems Group and ESI sign license agreement for circuit trim product range

Photonics Systems Group, a manufacturer of laser equipment for micro-materials processing, has signed an agreement that will grant it exclusive license rights to the circuit trim product portfolio of Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (ESI), a manufacturer of laser-based micro manufacturing systems and component test systems. The goal of the agreement is to ensure worldwide service and support for ESI's existing circuit trim customers and to further develop the product market for the companies of the group.

Acquired by MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKSI) in February 2019, ESI has 50 years of expertise in laser trimming. From telecommunications to automotive to aerospace, its circuit trim solutions serve a wide range of end markets. “We are pleased to pass on our many years of circuit trim know-how to Photonics Systems Group to maintain service quality for our existing customers”, said Steve Harris, Vice President and General Manager of the Equipment & Systems Division at MKS Instruments.
