Wavelength-stabilised multimode pump laser modules

II-VI Suwtech has introduced a set of 976nm multimode pump laser modules with up to 20W of output power. The company’s new pump lasers feature a wavelength-stabilised optical design that significantly extends their output power stability performance over operating temperature and output power dynamic ranges.

These pump lasers enable ultrafast fibre lasers to operate with shorter pulses and achieve higher precision drilling and marking. The optical system also minimises warm up time, which improves the productivity of the fibre lasers.

The high output power of the pump laser is achieved by combining multiple GaAs semiconductor laser chips into one module. The combined output power is coupled to an industry standard 105µm multimode fibre. The operating wavelength can be adjusted to meet specific customer applications.
